Act I — My Roots
Known by
My Roots
They say a tree is known for its fruit, but I am known by my roots. I come from two ringes — the lush, green heartbeat of Kakamega and the proud, highland spine of Nyeri. But I was raised in the folds of Nyeri and the electric pulse of Nairobi.
I am the daughter of this soil. All of it.

Act II — The Struggle & The Grace
My hands were
never still.
While other children played, I was building worlds from scraps and discarded things.

A whittled stick for a pencil. Creativity wasn't a hobby — it was the air I breathed.
A whittled stick became a pencil. Discarded fabric became a canvas. Creativity wasn't a hobby — it was survival, it was prayer, it was the only language that made sense.
Then came the silence after high school.
The sound of a future slamming shut because there was no money to pry it open.
But the drive to create doesn't die. It finds a crack in the pavement.
I made bookmarks — small, delicate things filled with scripture — and sold them. Turning nothing into something. Turning faith into fuel.
Then grace showed up. It looked like my friend's mum — a woman who saw a girl with idle hands and fire in her eyes. She led me to college, where my creativity graduated to motion pictures.

Small, delicate things filled with scripture
This act of love is why my talents are no longer my own.
They were bought with a price I cannot repay.
Act III — The Calling
“In the Beginning,
God Created.”

The sacred act of creation
That phrase isn't just a verse — it's my origin story. Before there was law or doctrine, there was a Creator.
When I create with my hands and see ideas become reality from nothingness, I get to stand back and whisper,“It is good.”
B.
Bezalel — Exodus 31
Then I learnt of Bezalel — the first man filled with the Spirit of God, not to preach or lead an army, but to craft. This is my lineage.
My greatest achievement isn't a gallery showing or a featured film. It's the sacred in-between — that sprawling territory between the first cry and the last sigh where the living happens.
From the first breath to the last, I will leave behind things made beautiful, things made meaningful, things made from the very earth that birthed us.
